How do I log a meal in under 12 seconds?
From the Today tab, tap + Add. Search the food name or tap Scan for the AI route. Pick a portion, choose a meal, hit Log it. Done.
What does Coach Kai actually see?
Your profile (sex, age, height, weight, activities, goal), your daily target, what you've logged today (every meal and workout), and the last 20 messages of your chat with Kai. Nothing else — not your history of weight changes, not your other conversations.
The AI scan is way off — what should I do?
Two things to try first: tap the macro numbers to edit them directly, or tap Retake for a better-lit shot. If a particular food consistently confuses the scan, email us a screenshot and we'll dig in.
How accurate are the macro estimates?
For packaged food (barcode or DB lookup), within 1-2%. For AI scan estimates, median match is around 94% but it tells you when it's not confident. We'd rather hedge than log a wrong number to your week.
Can I export my data?
Coming with the v1.1 release. In the meantime, email hello@plate.best and we'll export your data for you.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Cancel anytime from your platform's subscription settings — iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Android: Play Store → Subscriptions. Or in the app under You → Subscription. Your Pro features stay active until the period ends.
I'm switching from MyFitnessPal — can I import my data?
Not automatically yet. We're working on a CSV importer for the common formats. Email us if you're switching and we'll walk you through it manually.
